One of my New Year resolutions was to be a better steward of money. I really want to learn how to make the most of what I have. I must admit that I am a coupon snob!! My husband is a coupon snob - so much so that he has refused to use them. They are time consuming and we don't understand or how to use them. I have used them here and there for a few items (diapers) but had thought that I wasn't saving that much and it really was not worth the hassle and time. I am the person that gets to the store without the grocery list most of the time so you can imagine what happens when it comes to using coupons....(forgotten at home or left in the car) needless to say it seemed the store brand or the big box stores had better pricing without wasting the time clipping so I shopped at Costco and Sam's. Friends would tell me of a deal they found on this or that item and I would say - HEY! Why didn't you call me. I even had friends that would ask me to print this or that coupon so they could use it to get a deal. I tried the grocery guru only to find that I didn't use a lot of the stuff he recommended....so I would get the paper for a couple of months get frustrated since the coupons sat on a shelf and was a waste of money. Then I would try it again and order the paper....only to repeat the cycle again. Arrrr! I started reading coupon sites and wanted to find the deals they were finding so I began again. I am learning how to use coupons and since I find it frustrating and intimidating I thought I would try and help others that might be going through the same thing!
